Franci Fridell is Controller and Chief Financial Officer for San Francisco Science, Inc. and its' portfolio companies. San Francisco Science is a company developing and marketing technologies and products for the medical community of the World.
Franci began her professional career during college working as a back office assistant and bookkeeper at a medical office in Mill Valley, California for a group of family practitioners and gastroenterologists.
Franci continued development of her career the next five years at the Tiburon Peninsula Club as controller and served to develop and establish accounting policies and controls for sales and expense departments, capital investments and expenditures, and expansion projects. She initialized a 401K Plan, human resources department and served a role in management and creation of programs.
Franci earned a Microbiology degree from the Dominican University (1994) emphasizing in bacterial resistance to antibiotics. She continued her education studying Accounting and Finance at the University of California at Berkeley.
Franci spent a year in the rainforest of Ecuador on the Rio Napo observing native plant remedies, shaman practices (or lack thereof), and volunteered in a medical clinic giving vaccinations, sewing up machete wounds and educating patients in prevention of cholera and other tropical diseases.
Franci serves responsible for accounting and financial functions, as well as streamlining all department functions toward integration of science into business success and opportunity. Her duties include acceleration of the development of medical devices through strategic planning and analysis, streamlining and containing expenses utilizing an encumbrance system of accounting and reimbursement. She also prepares internal and external financial statements aiding in analysis and budgeting
while building a unified team of high caliber professionals by providing the best quality of corporate financial structure and communication.
