Dr. Takao Ohki is a member of San Francisco Science™'s Scientific Advisory Board and an Executive Advisor to its Managing Director. Dr. Ohki is Chief of Endovascular Programs at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the most prestigious medical centers in the United States. He is a world-renowned vascular surgeon, and a leader in the field of endovascular grafting. His expertise imbues ArteriA's management course on matters relating to product development, clinical trials, and the physician training programs.

Dr. Ohki received his medical degree and residency training from Jikei University in Tokyo, Japan and was awarded their International Research Award in 1991. He is Board Certified in General Surgery by the Japanese Society for Surgery and holds both Japanese and New York State Medical Licenses.

In addition to his position at Montefiore, Dr. Ohki is also Associate Professor of Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He recently achieved this position in a record three and a half years as Assistant Professor.

Dr. Ohki is a founder and serves on the executive committee of the International Society for Carotid Artery Therapy and remains active in over a dozen international professional organizations, holding elected positions and serving as a committee member in many of them. As an author, Dr. Ohki has written over 120 articles and has contributed to numerous books in the area of vascular surgery and invasive cardiology. He is on the editorial board of both the Journal of Endovascular Surgery and EndoCardioVascular Multimedia Magazine and is an ever-present presenter, moderator, and practitioner at leading international symposia and skills workshops.
